Bannurnpayom School, nestled amidst the mountains in Bueng Nakhon sub-district of Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan province, faces multiple challenges. The school, located an hour away from Hua Hin, finds itself devoid of fundamental necessities, such as electricity, telephone and internet access. This is coupled with a scarcity of essential educational resources. The school has just 15 teachers for a 160 students, ranging from kindergarten to lower secondary levels. This teacher-to-student ratio also highlights a significant understaffing challenge.
The IVL Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the learning environment and the overall well-being of students at Bannurnpayom School through a range of activities, including:
- Improving the school’s current infrastructure:
- Installation of a solar cell system.
- Provision of clean drinking water.
- Maintenance of classrooms and libraries.
- Construction of concrete walkway.
- Upgrading current educational resources:
- Equipped libraries with diverse books and resources to encourage reading.
- Providing extracurricular activities:
- Basic health and sanitation education programs for students.
- Incorporation of training programs to equip students with practical skills and encourage them to explore their interests.
- Initiatives to promote environmental awareness through waste management and recycling training programs.
This commitment ensures that the students of Bannurnpayom School not only receive an education but also gain the tools to do well in their lives.

Activity 3: Embracing the Festive Joy
On December 20, 2023, the IVL Foundation organized a festive Christmas gathering for 130 students. The day featured various game stations, fostering friendly competitions, including Christmas Knowledge and Quiz, scavenger hunts, charades, Pictionary, marshmallow and spaghetti construction challenge, and egg drop challenge.
This successful event was a collaborative effort, with Scholars of Sustenance Foundation contributing food ingredients for a barbeque party. The dedicated volunteers from Indorama Ventures PCL were instrumental in ensuring the children had a day filled with laughter and enjoyment.
The Christmas program not only provided a platform for students to enhance their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills but also offered valuable insights into another culture.
