The IVL Foundation has supported the World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT) to provide clean water filtration systems to underprivileged areas affected by drought and water contamination. The focus has been on the North, Northeast, and Central Thailand since 2020.
For 2022, the IVL Foundation sponsored WVFT to conduct the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Project to address the shortage of clean drinking water in 11 schools and one community in four provinces of Thailand by providing and improving their water filtration systems.
The new water filtration system at each location can provide at least 875 liters of clean drinking water per day. This is sufficient to meet the needs of 1,704 local children and 987 adults, as well as, 3,115 people in the communities around the schools.
